NSF softens on Imchen's resignation
Kohima, Aug 20 (UNI) The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has softened their demand for state Education Minister Imkong Imchen's resignation for his alleged attempt to admit his son in MBBS course through Joint Entrance Examination(JEE).
The Presidential Council meeting of the NSF yesterday, it decided to withdraw their demands following a written apology tendered by the Minister to the NSF, which compelled the federation to reconsider their demand.
The Federation strongly felt that the officials should also be included in the JEE selection process so that no such anomalies could took place in future.
The Minister, in the apology tendered to the NSF President, said that he was grateful to the federation for reminding him of his responsibility to uphold justice.
