MP promises to make CM visit Kolleru

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 20 (UNI) Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao today promised to bring Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to Kolleru soon to explain to him the problems faced by the poor people living near the world famous fresh water lake.

Laying the foundation stone for road works at Pydichintapadu Village, Mr Rao said the poor were hurt due to dismantling of fish ponds and he was trying to secure compensation for them.

He had asked officials to take up a comprehensive re-survey of contour boundaries of the lake.

The MP also told them he would ask the government to remove the check posts in the Kolleru area 'to prevent the officials from harassing the residents.' UNI XR GM 1158
