Conversion: four held

Sheopur, MP, Aug 20 (UNI) Four people were today arrested on the charge of trying to convert people and objectionable literature seized from them, police said.

Kerala-residents Raju Mathew, Jaju and Anurag and Uttar Pradesh-based preacher Jawala were arrested for encouraging about 150 people, including SCs and STs, to convert. Raju, Jaju and Anurag are teachers by profession.

Local BJP workers caught the foursome and handed them to police.

A case was registered against the accused under the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion (Amendment) Act.
