Vinayan elected MACTA chairman

Kochi, Aug 19 (UNI) Filmmaker Vinayan was today unanimously elected chairman of the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) for 2006-08.

Shaji Kailas and Kaloor Dennis were elected vice-chairmen while K G George was elected as general secretary, Rajasenan, M Renjit and Anto Joseph as secretaries and Sreemoolanagarm Mohan as treasurer.

A 12-member executive committee was also elected. The members are V M Vinu, Anandakuttan, M Jayachandran, Raghunath Paleri, Sreekumar Arookutty, Sasi Perumanoor, O S Gireesh, P Suresh Unnithan, T S Suresh Babu, Venu B Nair, Pattanam Shah and G R Das.

Mr K M Roy was the Election Officer.
