One dead in house collapses

Jammu, Aug 19 (UNI) An infant died and its mother was seriously injured when their house collapsed due to heavy rain in Lahanoo Tikri village under Katra police station in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

According to sources, the house of Puran Chand collapsed and his three-month old daughter Archana died and wife Kanta Devi was seriously injured.

The injured has been admitted to hospital in Katra where her condition is stated to be stable.
