Mahim creek water report to be available by evening
Mumbai, Aug 19: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has advised people not to consume the water at the Mahim creek as it could be contaminated.
According to a preliminary report, sea water at the Mahim creek has reportedly turned ''sweet''. The full findings of the report will be available by this evening, the Chief Minister's office said here.
The news of the sea water becoming sweet near Mahim dargah in North Central Mumbai spread like wild fire last night, reminiscent of the Ganesha idols reportedly drinking milk about a decade ago.
People in large number rushed there to taste the ''sweet water'' and some even claimed it to be a ''miracle'' of a dargah seer.
