Kerala, Lakshwadeep receive heavy rains

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 19 (UNI) Kerala and Lakshwadeep received heavy rains as the South West Monsoon continued to be active over the state and the Union Territory.

The Local Met office here said the highest rainfall of five cm each was recorded at Kozhikode and Minicoi.

Thalasseri received four cm rainfall, followed by Agathy, Kannur and Koilandy- three cm each.

The Met Office also warned of isolated heavy rains in Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 Hrs.
