BSNL internet facility breakdown in Kohima

Kohima, Aug 19 (UNI) Cyber cafes are sitting idle, banking transaction disrupted, media persons could not dispatched their news items, Government agencies failed to contact with their counterparts in other parts of the country following complete breakdown of internet facility in Nagaland's capital for past one week.

The BSNL officials could not be contacted as they are not attending the land line and mobile phones> But a Lineman of BSNL informed that the fault was being repaired and likely to restore any day.

The BSNL authorities in New Delhi have announced that all the microwave cable line services to be replaced by new technology by September one, without veryfying the poor BSNL services in North Eastern Region, especially in Nagaland, where internet, mobile services frequently went out of order.
