Bihar Chief Secretary in dock

Patna, Aug 19 (UNI) A complaint case was filed against Bihar Chief Secretary G S Kang and two others in a local court today.

The case was filed by the honorary general secretary of Sikh Intellectual Forum, Bihar, Dr Surjeet Singh under various sections of Indian Penal Code and passport act 1967. A so-called Jathedar of Takht Sri Harmandirji, Patna City, Bhai Iqbal Singh and a passport officer R.N.Rai were also made accused in the case.

According to the complaint, a passport had been issued to the accused Bhai Iqbal Singh in violation of the rules of the passport act in 1995 and again in 2005.

As per the complaint, Mr Kang had issued false verification certicate in violation of the article 6(2) of the passport act for the concerned passport.

The Court has fixed August 21 as the date for recording the statement of complainant on oath.
