VP Shekhawat completes four years in office

New Delhi, Aug 18: Rajya Sabha chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today completed four years in office, evoking a chorus of compliments from members of all political parties.

Minister of state for PArliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachauri, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi, Samajwadi leaders Amar Singh and Jaya Bachchan said Mr Shekhawat had upheld and enhanced the dignity of office.

They wished him a long and happy life. The members were joined by Mr Farooq Abdullah, Mr Rahul Bajaj, Mr B.J. Panda and Mr M.S. Gill.
