Priya Dutt lauches CD of 'Living with Chemotherapy'

Mumbai, Aug 18 (UNI) Congress MP Priya Dutt has expressed her concern not only towards cancer patients, but also their families, who pass through the trauma of taking care of their near-and-dear ones ailing from cancer.

While launching a CD 'Living with Chemotherapy', brought out by an NGO - Helping Hand, Ms Dutt recalled how her family went through while seeing her mother Nargis Dutt and sister-in-law Richa Sharma (actor Sanjay Dutt's wife) suffering from the disease.

''Cancer is like a death sentence. You have to fight it with a positive attitude that there is life beyond cancer,'' she said yesterday.

She also assured all her support to promote 'Living with Chemotherapy', which is a short film to demystify cancer and its treatment and give a message of hope to millions of patients who are fighting the illness. The aim of the film is to guide a newly detected patient with all information related to treatment through true stories of patients and guidance from a qualified team of oncologists.

Helping Hand NGO is run by Padmashri Dr S H Advani and his wife Geeta Advani.
