Manipur Naga MLAs meet Rio
Kohima, Aug 18 (UNI) A team of five legislators representing the four Naga dominated districts of Manipur met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphu Rio at his official residence here and had a long discussion on various issues.
According to official sources here today the legislators are D Shaiza, W Keishing, Henry Pauthei and Samuel Jendai had a long discussuions with Rio on the matters of affiliation of all private schools from four Naga dominated districts to the Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (NBSE).
The leader of Legislator team Samuel Jendai has expressed hapiness over the positive response of the Nagaland Chief Minister over the issue, who reportedly told the visiting group that the Nagaland government would support the affiliation of all private schools of four Naga dominated districts of Manipur to NBSE.
Rio also reportedly told the visiting team that all possibility would be explored to fulfill the affiliation issue.
Mr Rio would meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh by the end of this month and appraise the later to take up the issue at the earliest.
The delegation will also meet the Leader of Opposition I Imkong today before they depart for Manipur.
