3 policemen desert with arms

Kohima, Aug 18 (UNI) Three police constables of Nagaland police have deserted their posting place with two arms and reportedly joined the NSCN(K) faction.

According to official sources here today the three jawans deserted their camp on the night of Independence day and joined the NSCN(K) outfit yesterday along with two AK47 rifles.

The constables were identified as Naik Vihoyi, Lance Naik Ghushito and constable Hotoshe.

Meanwhile, police efforts were on to apprehend the deserted constables and to recover the arms, sources said.

A report said that they were attached with the Zunheboto Superintendent of police as the body guard duty.
