Xenitis Group's motorcycle production from Nov

Kolkata, Aug 17: The Xenitis Group would start producing motorcycles at its Chinsura plant from November 2006.

Xenitis has formed a separate company Global Automobiles Pvt Ltd for the Rs 250 crore motorcycle venture, Managing Director Tathagata Dutta said here today.

The initial capacity of the two-wheeler plant would be 35,000 units, Mr Dutta said.

He said Xenitis currently producing 30,000 PCs at its Chinsura plant has no plans to increase capacity this year.

Xenitis is eyeing Rs 750 crore turnover in 2006-07 as against Rs 523 crore in 2005-06, he said.

Xenitis today opened a IT training centre under its Technolab brand at the central business district of the city.
