Varanasi Gurukul prays to Ram-Hanuman for Bismillah's recovery

Varanasi, Aug 17 (UNI) Students of a local Gurukul today offered special prayers to Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman for the early recovery of hospitalised shehnai legend Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan.

The students under the guidance of Ram Janaki Temple Mahant Ramkamal Das Vedanti performed prayers of Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Raksha Snote and Shanti Path to pave the road for early recovery of the bed-ridden musical icon.

''Khan Sahib is above all religion and a global jewel, praying for whose health is the duty of every human being,'' said Ramkamal Das Vedanti.

The students dressed in religious sartorials also performed 'hawan' to cap the prayers.
