Two villlages in Kheda still flooded

Ahmedabad, Aug 17 (UNI) With an inflow of three lakh cusecs water into the Sabarmati river, Palka and Asamali villages in the Kheda district of Gujarat are still flooded.

According to flood control room sources, despite 18 mm of rain in the district in the past 24 hours, the flood situation in some parts of the district is still grim.

As one of the worst-affected districts in Gujarat, Kheda has received massive 1,157.1 cm of rain during the season.

Even the Shedhi river is still overflowing. While water from the Vartak river has flooded Matar taluka in the neighbouring Vadodara district, sources added.
