Three LeT militants killed, two jawans injured in Gool
Jammu, Aug 17 (UNI) Three militants of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed and two army jawans were injured in a fierce encounter between security forces and ultras at Gool in Udhampur district today.
Acting on a tip-off that some foreign militants were hiding in Van Dashan area of Gool a joint operation with the state police was launched, sources said.
While security forces were cordoning of the area the militants fired upon the forces. The fire was returned in which three militants, two of them Pakistanis were killed. Two army jawans also suffered serious injuries.
The slain militants have been identified as Abu Abdullah, an LeT area commander of Gool and Khalid Shah alias Abu Anees. The third is yet to be indentified.
In another incident Special Police Officer Dhian Chand was shot dead by unidentified militants when a search party was attacked at Sajwan Village, 20 Kms from Doda town.
