Telangana MLAs appreciate Dr Reddy

Hyderabad, Aug 17 (UNI) Most of the Telangana MLAs who attended the CLP meeting here today appreciated the steps taken by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy with respect to irrigation projects in Telangana region.

Briefing newspersons after the CLP meeting in which AICC general secretary and Andhra Pradesh in-charge Digvijay Singh participated, Andhra Pradesh Government chief whip Kiran Kumar Reddy said about 16 Telangana MLAs thanked Chief Minister for initiating irrigation projects in the Telangana region.

He said one or two MLAs from Telangana region raised the issue regarding increasing the capacity of Pothireddypadu Regulator.

The CLP also took exception to some MLAs, interfering in the public (farmer's) issues of other MLA's constituencies, when a decision had been taken to suitably rehabilitate all those farmers who had lost land in the wake of infrastructural projects.
