Sundaram Infotech launches ERP learning centre

Chennai, Aug 17 (UNI) Sundaram Infotech Solutions (SIS), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, has launched an ERP learning centre, the 'Axapta Academy of Excellence', to train both functional and technical professionals at its Chennai facility.

SIS was one of the largest partners of Axapta, the ERP solution from the Microsoft stable in India. As an ERP, Axapta has all the modules to address the total, integrated information needs of an enterprise, a company release here said.

Microsoft ERP was a line of products that automate and help improve financial and customer relationship and supply chain management. In the last two years, SIS had gained solid expertise in Axapta ERP offering specialized training, it said.

Srinivas Acharya, Joint MD, Sundaram Finance Ltd, and CEO, SIS, said, 'The primary objective of the Axapta Academy is to impart specialized functional and technical training on Axapta ERP as a product to enable them get involved in live offshore project implementation at our Chennai facility.' In the medium term, the company expected professionals rolled out of Axapta Academy to be positioned onsite in overseas markets such as the US and Europe, he said.
