Simplex bags projects worth Rs 577.09 crore

Kolkata, Aug 17: Simplex Infrastructures Ltd, a leading infrastructure company, has bagged projects worth Rs.577.09 crores for Urban infrastructure development in Hyderabad and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Simplex Infrastructures would undertake the construction work of the elevated Expressway Corridor in Hyderabad on Engineering and procurement and construction (EPC) basis on joint venture basis. The project order stands at Rs.439 crores.

Simplex infrastructures has also bagged the order worth Rs 138 crores for the tsunami reconstruction project in Andaman and Nicobar islands. The project includes construction of 1050 units of permanent shelter (single storied) in the island of Katchal, Kamorta and Nancowry (project worth Rs.83.41 crores) and 821 units in the island of Teressa (project worth Rs.54.68 crores).

According to Mr Amitabh Das Mundhra, Director, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd, "These two are very significant projects for Simplex, which is consolidating the company's diversification plans.

We are looking at increasing our order book position, which currently stands at Rs 5000 crores."
