Silver closes one week high, gold rises on bullish global advice

Mumbai, Aug 17: Prices of gold and silver rose on bullish global advice in the closing session, according to traders at the Bombay Bullion Association.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 19,060 (18,620).

Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,520 (9,485), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,570 (9,535).
