Rains lash Kerala, Lakshadweep
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 17 (UNI) With the Southwest monsoon active rains occured at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep today.
The highest rainfall of seven cm was recorded at Thrissur, the Local weather office said.
Kozhikode, Kunnamkulam, Kottayam, Chertala and Minicoy received four cm of rains each.
Three cm of rain each was recorded at Karipur Airport, Kollengode, Haripad and Kumarakom.
The Met office warned of isolated rains over Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 hours and also of strong westerly winds with a speed of 45-55 kmph along and off Kerala coast and lakshwadeep.
