Punj Lloyd bags Rs 823 cr contract from RVUNL
New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Punj Lloyd today announced that it has received a Rs 823 crore order from Rajasthan Vidyut Utapadan Nigam Ltd, for building a 2x250 MW Chabbra Thermal Power Station in Rajasthan on a fast track basis.
The contract is scheduled to be completed in 24 months and involves complete mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works.
Punj Lloyd will be responsible for building up complete power station with the exception of main plant equipment.
This Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract is the single largest contract of the company and also the largest order for Punj Lloyd group in this domain, a company statement said.
With this contract, the group's total value of unexecuted orders as of July 1, 2006 and new orders received till date (including Sembawang Engineers&Constructors, Singapore) is Rs 10,561 crore.
