Pritampal Singh remanded to 14-day judicial custody
New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) A special CBI court today remanded ACP Pritampal Singh, arrested on charges of bribery, to judicial custody till August 30.
Special Judge Vinod Goel sent Singh, arrested on August 11, and his associate Gurmeet Singh to 14-day judicial custody.
The CBI has arrested Singh, deployed with the Anti-Robbery Cell at Karol Bagh while accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe from the complainant (owner of a hotel at Mahipalpur, New Delhi).
A deal of Rs 1.5 lakh had been struck to get the son of the complainant, arrested in an immoral trafficking case, released on bail, and the arrest was made while the first instalment was being accepted by Singh.
