Policeman arrested for murder

Jalandhar, Aug 17(UNI) A PCR havildar was arrested today for killing a youth in an old dispute in Maqsudan area here.

A police spokesman said that Havildar Jasbir Singh opened fire after a verbal duel with his neighbour which left the youth, Kuldip, dead.

A mob later blocked traffic near Bidhpur for about two hours in protest against the incident.
