One killed, two injured in NSCN factional clash

Kohima, Aug 17 (UNI) One NSCN-IM cadre was killed and two others were injured in a clash between the NSCN factions at old Chalkot near Athibung under Peren district of Nagaland.

Official sources said here today that the clash took place when NSCN-IM cadres were proceeding towards Athibung from their camp in Hebron yesterday.

The gun battle lasted for more than one hour.

The NSCN(K) sources also claimed that they have captured one NSCN-IM cadre, along with a 30 US rifle. There was no casualty in the NSCN(K) side, sources informed.
