One beheaded and another wounded in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 17 (UNI) Militants beheaded one person while a villager was shot at and wounded by security forces due to mistaken identity in the Kashmir valley, official sources said today.

They said militants abducted one Fayaz Ahmad Mir at Gulab Dajan in north Kashmir last night. His beheaded body was found in the nearby paddy fields, sources said.

One Noor Alam Khan was injured when security forces opened fire at Ladroo, Pahalgam, in south Kashmir early this morning.

Sources said Khan was on his way to a mosque early this morning when security forces mistook him to be a militant and opened fire.

He was admitted to a hospital.
