Hyderabad, Aug 17 (UNI) MyTVS, the Chennai-based integrated multi-brand car services provider, would open its first 'fullfledged' training school at Madurai in Tamil Nadu by September, as it prepares an all-India footprint with an investment of about Rs 225 crore, by 2009.
The Madurai Training School which would impart training to nearly 300 persons on comprehensive delivery services every month, would be replicated in another six to seven places in India. Presently it has an academy providing minimum training including dynastic requirement but, the proposed training schools, whose investment details are being fine-tuned, would train personnel on both hard and soft skills.
For its pan-India footprint, the company proposes to open 450 services outlets and another 100 outlets for the sale of used cars by next year. After making its presence in Tamil Nadu and Kerala since its launch three years ago, TVS Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Ltd,- the parent company, today launched its operation in Andhra Pradesh, initially offering two services- quality used cars and collision repairs services.
Seeing the used cars and its services market in India to be around Rs 8000-crore covering all the three 'life cycles of the car', Executive Director R Dinesh told reporters the company was looking at 10 to 12 per cent of the market share.
It also proposed to launch a AMC service by September followed by offering a comprehensive delivery service in June, 2007.
By the time it attains an all India footprint, the company could develop a network with major dealers and possibly the manufacturers also, Mr Dinesh said.
