MPCC Minorities Cell lauds Urdu channel

Bhopal, Aug 17 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's Minorities Cell today felt that the launching of a DD Urdu channel would strengthen national unity and integrity.

General Secretary S Sajid Ali and Secretary M Idris Khan expressed their gratitude to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and HRD Minister Arjun Singh.

Stating that the channel's inauguration was Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's gift to lovers of Urdu, the duo added that it would be a medium for exposing madrasa students to modern education.
