Minister's son manhandles mamlatdar
Chhota-Udepur, Vadodara, Aug 17 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways Naranbhai Rathwa's displeasure over not being allowed to hoist the tricolour at his constituency here today took a violent turn when his son allegedly manhandled the mamlatdar.
Police said Mr Rathwa's son Sangramsinh allegedly indulged in a verbal duel with mamlatdar Naginbhai Mavasibha over why his father was being prevented from hoisting the national flag at the secretarial building here, when it was within his rights to do so.
He then allegedly caught hold of Mr Mavasibha's shirt and pulled him, which resulted in the latter's clothes getting torn.
The mamlatdar has filed a police complaint, though no arrest has been made so far.
