NABATIYEH, Lebanon, Aug 17 (Reuters) Lebanese army convoys headed south today on their way to deploy near the border with Israel in line with a U.N. resolution that halted 34 days of fighting in the area, a Reuters witness said.
Trucks, armoured troop carriers and jeeps were streaming to south Lebanon through the town of Nabatiyeh and were expected to start crossing the Litani River shortly, Reuters correspondent Yara Bayoumy said.
