Lalu, Tisco conspiring to cancel JCA's affiliation
Ranchi, Aug 17 (UNI) Jharkhand Cricket Assocation Vice President and former Bihar Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Pravin Sinha today charged Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and Tisco with conspiring to cancel affiliation of the association.
Mr Sinha said some people with vested interest were now seeking to take revenge following BCCI President Sharad Pawar's loss in the last board's election by one vote.
Addressing a press conference here he said JCA president was not allowed to attend the BBCCI meeting at Chennai yesterday which was contempt of court adding it was now a big conspiracy to cancel affiliation of the state.
He wondered why the situation of 2000 was sought to be restored while the last election of Bihar Cricket Association was held in 2004.
If Maharashtra could have three affiliated associations, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh had two each why Bihar and Jharkhand could have one each.
He held state Sports Minister Sudesh Mahto responsible for the present status for he did not succeed in his bid to hold the president post of the JCA the election to which was held two months back.
Mr Sinha said Tisco which claimed to do good for Jharkhand backed Mr Mahto in the JCA election.
Now it remained to be seen how the company behaved in the present scenario.
The JCA Vice President warned that any attempt to cancel the affiliation would not augur well for the state had produced international player like Mahinder Singh Dhoni and another player was doing well in India a team.
