Kumbakonam school fire tragedy case adjourned to Aug 23

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu Aug 17 (UNI) The Kumbakonam School fire tragedy case which came up before Sessions Court here today was adjourned to August 23.

Police said all the accused in the case appeared before the judge.

The gruesome fire tragedy in which 94 children were charred to death and 200 injured in a school at Kumbakonam, occurred on July 16, 2004.

The 24 accused, including the school founder and Headmistress, were released on bail, police added.
