Jungle Crow begin Calcutta Cup campaign with win

Kolkata, Aug 17 (UNI) Jungle Crow began their Calcutta Cup campaign in style when they defeated Lamartinere Old Boys 19-0 on the opening day here today.

The rugby tournament got off to a blistering start with the Jungle Crows taking three tries and making two conversions.

Tudu's try was most brilliant and Sanjay Parte made the two conversions for the visitors.

The organisers were expecting two teams from Pakistan and Sri Lanka, but while the former opted out for reasons unknown, the Lankan team is not travelling for security reasons.

However, the organisers are expecting some good news from other countries soon.
