Judge transferred to Madras High Court

New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Mr Justice S J Mukhopadhaya, judge of the Jharkhand High Court, has been transferred as a judge of Madras High Court.

According to an official release here, he has been directed to assume charge of his office in Madras High Court by September 1 next.

The transfer was effected by the President of India in consultation with the Chief Justice of India in exercise of the powers conferred on him under clause (1) of Article 222 of the Indian Constitution.
