Jharkhand assembly adjourned after paying tributes
Ranchi, Aug 17 (UNI) The first day of monsoon sesion of Jharkhand Assembly was adjourned here today after paying tributes to former Union Ministers Pramod Mahajan, A B A Gani Khan Choudhary, Bansilal, litterateur Manohar Shayam Joshi and musician Naushad. Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari made obituary references to the departed souls. After Chief Minister Arjun Munda, leaders of different political parties also paid tributes.
The house also observed one minute's silence and was adjourned for the next consecutive day.
Tributes were also paid to Krishnachandra Munda, Deepnarayan Choudhary, Janardan Tiwary, freedom fighter Ganga Prasad Singh, former IAS and noted historian Kumar Suresh Singh, journalist Madhup Pathak and people killed in serial bomb blasts in Mumbai and those killed in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and Dantewara.
