JD(U) suspends MLA Chhedi Paswan

Patna, Aug 17 (UNI) JD (U) president Sharad Yadav today suspended legislator Chhedi Paswan from the party membership for anti-party activity.

JD (U) Secretary and spokesperson Shambhu Sharan Srivastav said here that Mr Paswan had given a statement against the party's parliamentary board leader Prahbunath Singh and state president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh.

The central leadership had sought an explanation from Mr Paswan, which was unsatisfactory and hence the punitive action, he said.
