Haryana to set up 2 hotel management institutes
Chandigarh, Aug 17 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to set up two state-of-the-art Hotel-cum-Hospitality Management Institutes at Tilyar Tourist Complex in Rohtak and Badhkal Complex in Faridabad under public-private partnership.
The entire investment for setting up these institutes would be of the entrepreneur, an official spokesman said after a cabinet meeting in which the decision was taken.
The proposed institutes would give degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Administration, Culinary Art and allied trades of Travel and Tourism.
The state government has already constituted a committee headed by Minister of State for Tourism Kiran Choudhry to select the two applicants or entrepreneurs for setting up the proposed institutes at Tilyar and Badkhal.
On the basis of the presentations made by various applicants, eight of them had already been short-listed.
The spokesman said the applicant having tie-ups or collaboration with reputed international universities in the field of hotel and travel management would be preferred.
The proposed institutes would run at least one diploma or degree course of 3 years and above among other courses.
