Former Bihar minister Baidynath Pandey dead

Patna, Aug 17 (UNI) Former Bihar Industry Minister and RJD leader Baidyanath Pandey, who served in Lalu Prasad's cabinet in the 90s, today died in New Delhi.

He was 55.

He is survived by his wife, sons and daughters.

Pandey was admitted to a hospital after he complained of uneasiness. He died this morning, a report received here said.

He will be cremated tomorrow, family sources said.

Railway Minister and RJD president Lalu Prasad has condoled the sudden demise of Pandey and described him as a champion of the backward classes.

Former State Chief Minister Ms Rabri Devi and other political leaders also condoled the death of Pandey.
