DG-Homeguards to appoint security guards: CM

Mumbai, Aug 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today proposed that the government will appoint private security guards to prominent personalities in the wake of the murder of a security guard at actor Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow here on August 14.

He said the government has a DG-level officer for Homeguards and he could be given the additional task of appointing the private security guards.

Replying to queries about security guards and their appointment during a news conference, Mr Deshmukh said there is a need to change the rules against the backdrop of the incident, he added.
