Dasmunsi condoles senior PIB official's death

New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs P R Dasmunsi has condoled the death of Anuradha Seshadri Director, PIB, Mumbai.

''She was an outstanding officer of the IIS cadre, deeply dedicated to her work. An epitome of courage and indomitable spirit, she continued to fight death'' till the end. I am deeply shocked to learn about her death, said Mr Dasmunsi in a message.

She was a rare combination of qualities of the heart and mind, an able administrator and has left a mark on whichever assignments she handled, said the Minister, adding that her passing away was as much a loss for the service as for her near and dear ones.

''I convey my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the members of the aggrieved family,'' he said.

Mrs Deepak Sandhu, Director General (Media&Communication) also expressed heartfelt condolences at the passing away of Anuradha Seshadri.

Seshadri, a senior officer of Indian Information Service, was currently heading the Mumbai Regional Office of PIB.

She had been suffering from cancer for quite some time and breathed her last in Mumbai on August 15. She served in various capacities in different media units including Doordarshan and PIB.
