Court issues NBW against Rail DIG in Bihar

Hajipur, Aug 17 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Hajipur Ramsaran Sia Singh today issued non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) against Deputy Inspector General(DIG) of Rail Ajay Verma in connection with a criminal case here today.

The court has also issued a NBW against Ravindra Giriyak counsel of Mr Verma. The NBW was issued under different sections of IPC.

Police, during the day, had moved an application in the court with a prayer to issue NBW against Mr Varma and his lawyer.

Earlier on January 24, retired principal of a Hajipur government high school Rajendra Rai had lodged a criminal case against the DIG and his wife.

In the supervision report, Tirhut range Inspector General Sunit Kumar exempted the wife of the Verma.
