CLP discusses on possible anti-incumbency factor

Hyderabad, Aug 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today discussed a possible anti-incumbency factor that might prop up during the next Assembly elections in the state.

Briefing newsmen after the CLP meeting in which AICC General Secretary and Andhra Pradesh in-charge Digvijay Singh participated, Andhra Pradesh Government Chief Whip Kiran Kumar Reddy said Mr Singh appreciated the PCC Chief on the success of the party in the recent local body elections, corporation and gram panchayat elections in the state.

He said Mr Singh had urged the CLP to stand up to the expectations of the people to avert the anti-incumbency factor during the next Assembly elections.

''Mr Singh said the position of the party is very good in the state and the CLP should maintain it,'' he said. Any differences within the party should be dealt within the party and people should not be confused with the differences in the party, Mr Reddy added.
