CCS Infotech bags order from NLC worth Rs 4.4 cr

Chennai, Aug 17: CCS Infotech Limited, a city-based IT solution provider, has bagged an order worth Rs 4.4 crore from Neyveli Lignite Corporation.

Company Managing Director M A Hasan Abdul Kader told reporters today CCS would supply PCs, servers, laptops, printers and peripherals and maintain it for five years.

Announcing an investment of Rs 20 crore for the company's expansion plans, he said it was planned to launch a joint venture in South Africa and expand Singapore operations.

This would help the company increase capacity considerably and enable it meet the increasing demand, he added.

Mr Kader said the company surpassed a turnover of Rs 59.27 crore for the financial year ending March 2006, up 73 per cent compared to the last financial year.

The first quarter 2006-2007 revenue increased to Rs 13.41 crore, an increase of more than nine per cent from Rs 12.23 crore in the first quarter of 2005-06. The net profit increased to Rs 1.18 crore, up 74 per cent from 0.67 crore in the first quarter 2005-06.

He said the CCS was targeting at least Rs 80 crore for the financial year 2006-07 and Rs 20 crore for the second quarter 2006-07. The company was expecting the total head count to exceed 250 by end of the current financial year, he added.
