BSNL employees join strike

Rajahmundry, Aug 17 (UNI) More than 50 BSNL employees today went on a day-long hunger strike, in front of the General Manager's Office here, in response to a nation-wide call to press for their demands.

The agitation was observed to press for an early settlement of demands like refund of general insurance fund, the anomalies in senior and junior salary as per report and senior junior accountants promotions.

They also sought compassionate appointment, implementation of civil wing committee report, regularisation of casual labour, recruitment of staff and implementation of the demands of corporate office employees.
