BSE Sensex trades 25 points in red at 11,422.86
Mumbai, Aug 17 (UNI) The BSE Sensex in the early trade today rose from the lower levels, after it fell almost 60 points to 11,379.44 points, however, it has once again dipped into the red in the intra noon trade to currently trade 25.45 down at 11,422.86, as the volatility once again caught the investors off-guard.
The midcap is currently down by 0.81 per cent and smallcap is down by 1.16 per cent.
Amongst the sectoral indices on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the PSU sector is down by 1.07 per cent, Metals is down by 1.75 per cent. However, oil and gas is up by 0.10 and HC is up by 0.39 per cent and consumer durables is up by 0.71 per cent.
Major gainers on the index are Dr Reddy's Lab, Tata Motors, Ranbaxy, HDFC and BHEL, all up between 0.88 to 2.12 per cent.
Major losers are ONGC, Tata Steel, Reliance Energy, Hindalco, Hero Honda and TCS, all down between 1.03 to 3.40 per cent.
