Bomb hoax at collector's office

Visakhapatnam, Aug 17 (UNI) A threat call that a bomb had been planted in the complex of the District Collector's office this afternoon, turned out to be hoax.

According to police, the Superintendent of the office of Deputy Police Commissioner received an anonymous phone call stating that a bomb would explode soon at the collectorate premises.

Acting swiftly police officials immediately rushed to the spot with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad and searched the entire collectorate building, but no explosives was found, police added.
