Bomb hoax at Chanakyapuri school in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 17: Police were alerted this morning following a call about a bomb being placed at a school in Chanakyapuri area here.

However, after nearly more than two hours of search, the call was declared a 'hoax', according to the police.

Two fire tenders along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and the Dog Squad were rushed to the Naval Public School in Chanakyapuri after police received a call at about 0900 hrs of a bomb being planted there.

Extensive searches were carried out till 1130 hrs during which classrooms were vacated and entire area cordoned off.

Later, nothing was found and the call declared a 'hoax'.
