Bagan slump contuinues

Kolkata, Aug 17 (UNI) Mohun Bagan continued its poor run in Premier division of Kolkata soccer league salvaging a draw against George Telegraph here today.

Mohun Bagan looked like a disjointed unit with no focus and motivation.

They went into the lead when Surajit Bose's volley, of a Mehrajuddin Wadao pass, returned to play and Dippendu Bioswas picked up the scraps.

However, the first half lead was neutralised in the late in the second half when off a Manik Sarkar pass Asim Das robbed the ball over an advancing Bagan keeper to restore parity.

Bagan did put the ball in the net in the dying moments, when Sanjib Maria's header of a Dipak Mandal freekick, found the target, but the goal was cancelled by the refree for infringement on the keeper.

Bagan now have four points from three outings, and George have five from five.
