A farmer killed in Champaran

Bagaha, Aug 17 (UNI) A farmer was killed by unidentified criminals at Vijaypur village under Balmiki Nagar police station area in West Champaran district in Bihar late last night.

Police said here today that the criminals attacked Lalman Raman with a sharp-edged weapon when he was sleeping at his courtyard.

The 65-year-old man died on the spot.

Criminals had escaped after the incident.

Raids were on to nab them, police added.

Reason behind the killing was yet to be ascertained, police said.
